Ridgeland, Miss. (February 8, 2013) – Calling, downloading apps and surfing the mobile web on the C Spire Wireless personalized network just got easier and faster for consumers and businesses in portions of Jackson County - thanks to activation of a new cell site in Ocean Springs, Miss.

The site improves wireless coverage and capacity in the South Gulf Park Estates area in Ocean Springs and expands customer access to 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) services. C Spire first rolled out 4G LTE, which offers data speeds up to 10 times faster than previously available, in Ocean Springs and eight other Mississippi Gulf Coast markets last November.

With the improved coverage, capacity expansion and expanded availability of 3G and 4G LTE service, consumers and businesses in the enhanced area should experience faster uploads and downloads and gain access to new and expanded voice and mobile high-speed data services, including mobile video telephony, high-quality music and other multimedia applications, according to David Smith, vice president of Network Engineering for C Spire Wireless.
